Heather Heltzinger
Hi, I’m Heather!
I’m a licensed Wastewater Operator and an experienced Control Systems Designer, Project Manager, and Team Leader with over 20 years in Systems Integration for the Water and Wastewater Industry. I’m also honored to be the current President of the Eastern Pennsylvania Water Pollution Control Operators Association (EPWPCOA) and will be Past President in 2025.
Efficiency is my passion—finding ways to make tasks and processes simpler is something I truly enjoy, whether it’s designing control systems or the hands-on work that brings them to life. I approach problems from unique angles, always looking for inventive ways to create solutions that work seamlessly for operators. I started Renegade Solutions because I wanted to build a company that prioritizes both client satisfaction and the real needs of the end-user. Technology can be powerful when it connects with people, and that’s where Renegade comes in.
Outside of work, you’ll find me gardening, landscaping, cooking, trap shooting, caring for my animals, and dreaming up all kinds of new projects!
Donnie Simpkins
Donnie is an experienced and versatile professional with over 24 years in Controls & Instrumentation and Manufacturing. His work spans various industries, including Water/Wastewater, Food & Beverage, and Power, where he has consistently demonstrated his deep technical knowledge and innovative approach to problem-solving. Known for his out-of-the-box thinking, Donnie is invaluable to our team, especially when tackling the unexpected challenges that arise in the field.
From programming PLCs, OITs, and HMIs to welding, electrical work, and plumbing, Donnie’s diverse skill set means he can step in wherever he's needed and get the job done right. His practical expertise allows him to address a broad range of plant issues effectively, making him a go-to resource for clients who need fast, reliable support.
Outside of work, Donnie is just as hands-on. You’ll find him restoring cars and motorcycles, trenching and landscaping, blacksmithing, or leather crafting—always building, always creating. Whether he’s in the shop or the field, Donnie’s dedication to his craft and his knack for creative solutions make him an essential part of our team and a trusted partner to our clients.
Mozummel Mukhtarzada
Moz Mukhtarda is a talented graduate of Penn State University, holding a Bachelor’s of Science in Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technology. His technical journey began as an undergraduate at Deka Batteries, where he gained hands-on experience as a technician and dove into the world of PLC programming—a skill he’s quickly mastered with impressive aptitude. Moz brings his keen learning ability and adaptability to each project, contributing fresh insights and reliable technical skills. Alongside his professional pursuits, Moz also supports his family business, A-1 Signs, whenever needed, showcasing his dedication and work ethic. As a fast learner with a strong technical foundation, Moz is an invaluable asset to our team.
Maria Spera
Maria is the organizational powerhouse behind Renegade Solutions, keeping our team on track, our finances in line, and every detail meticulously managed. As our dedicated Accounts Manager and bookkeeper, Maria ensures smooth operations every step of the way. With a catering background rooted in her Italian family heritage from Connecticut, she brings both her meticulous eye and warm, familial approach to everything she does.
Beyond work, Maria is a proud super mom to two sons—one in college and one a high school senior—balancing her professional expertise with her commitment to family. Her go-getter attitude and ability to keep us all moving forward make her an invaluable part of the Renegade team. Simply put, we wouldn’t be where we are without her!
